In Praise of Juabal Kane

The Quest of Jubal Kane is very realistic in its approach. It isn't a mushy-gushy romantic western, not is it "I'll gun you down at sundown, you yellow bellied..." It's mild. Fast paced. Almost like a camera following this person around. It's an absorbing book, Mr. Bowman knows his stuff. The way he presents it is not overly dramatic nor boring/boring and boring again.
