Enjoyable read, very Balogh.

This book is heavily weighted towards character rather than plot. And the protagonists are quite engaging. Hugo is possibly the most delightful of all Ms Baloghs many heroes(perhaps a close second to Bewcastle in Slightly Dangerous). Unlike so many ‘heroes’ in this genre he is not a self absorbed womanizer but a real person. The dialogue is often witty and entertaining. My only problem relates to the plethora of irrelevant characters introduced in the last couple of chapters. Good read.
