Two stories about love and forgiveness, now repacked into one volume! The Promise Remains: Sometimes our first love ends up being our last. Sometimes people cross your path whom you're unable to... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I am a huge fan of love stories, especially Christian love stories, and these are 2 books that I can suggest to anyone who shares my love for them. Travis Thrasher doesn't just pull you into the book, he pulls you into the lives of the characters. I felt like I was sad when the characters were sad and happy when they were happy. I wanted to see a good ending and I couldn't even put it down! I wish these books could have been longer, but I think that for a shorter read there was a lot to love. I would definitely recommend this and all of Travis's other books to you!
WOW, WHAT AN AMAZING STORY!

THE PROMISE REMAINS: I accidentally bought two books of, The Promise Remains. This one with both stories and a separate one with just, The Promise Remains. I just finished, The Promise Remains, so I'll have to get back to you later with my review on the other, Watermark: A Collection of Love Stories. WOW!!!!! This is an amazing book! Once you start it, you won't be able to put it down. It's wonderfully written, and an amazing story. What female doesn't wish for a man to love her as truly and deeply and eternally, as Ethan's love for, Sara. I loved the way the story unfolded; there was nothing I would have changed. Though it has many of the qualities of, The Notebook, it stands alone. Now this, I would love to see as a movie. I know without a doubt it would be one of the few I would watch over and over, again Don't miss out on this wonderful little book, packed full of hope and love. This is one of those stories that will "remain" with you forever...do I dare say, I "promise". UPDATE MARCH 2ND, 2009, THE WATERMARK: This is the third book I've read by Travis, and I'm thoroughly convinced he should be a number one best selling author. Each one I've read, Sky Blue, The Promise Remains, and now, The Watermark, are incredibly written, and inspirationally moving. His written words and story ideas blow me away. Sky Blue, shocked me and moved me to tears, several time. That doesn't happen too often. The Promise Remains still resides in my soul. I don't know if I'll ever leave. It's one of those books that will remain with you forever. It's that moving. And now, The Watermark...Once again Travis had put an amazing story on paper that you almost forget you're reading a "story", you get so involved with the character and their lives. And that's not to mention the message of God that he intertwines throughout in a subtle, yet explosive way. As I read the last page through tear filled eyes, I closed the book and wept. It was that moving. I'll soon be reading, Three Roads Home, and have no doubt that once again I'll be blown away with this mans amazing writing.

Often titles fail to convey the heart of a book, but Travis Thrasher repeatedly demonstrates a gift of tying his works with their compelling titles. The audience Travis draws will not be bound by gender, age or religion. Travis creatively explores relationships of parent/child, friends/lovers, students/mentors, death and dying, and hope realized in faith. Travis artfully pulls you into, not only a story, but the lives of his characters in their struggles, dedications, and triumphs. Sharing this book with others is a pleasure.
