Developing Praise and Worship into a Lifestyle

"The Power of Praise and Worship" is a story of tragedy and healing in the life of Terry Law, missionary statesman. Terry Law shares the lessons he learned as he moved into a new dimension of ministry by combining praise and worship as a lifestyle. This updated and revised edition includes biographical material by co-author Jim Gilbert. Through Terry's experience the reader is helped to understand the five stages of spiritual warfare. Scripture illustrations, stories from his own ministry and experiences, and examples of other anointed ministers and ministries reinforce his message. Terry shares insight into the importance of the Word of God, the Name of Jesus, and the Blood of Jesus as the three war heads needed to combat satan's attacks. In Part II Jim Gilbert goes tells of another devastating occurrence. Jim relates the stigma and trauma experienced by Terry when his second wife Shirley sued for divorce. A four year court room scene followed that left Terry nearly broke that virtually ruined his world ministry. From these experiences Terry learned what it means to offer a sacrifice of praise, to choose a lifestyle of praise, and to establish a life time pattern of praise. "The Power of Praise & Worship" is strong in teaching, with a heart rending story. It is the testimony of a man broken through the anguish of death and divorce who finds new life by approaching God through praise and worship to team with Him in a relationship and ministry. The book is provides solid teaching affording others the opportunity to learn from Terry's experiences.

Learning and Experiencing Intimacy in Worship

Terry Law is an excellent musician and Worship Leader, and in his book authored with Jim Gilbert, he addresses in depth using your mouth effectively for confession and praise. Terry makes a great statement..."Your mouth is the launch pad from which you fire the weapons of God's Word, Jesus' Name, and the Blood." Wow! He teaches us to passionately pursue a lifestyle of praise.

This is an excellent book about praise and worship

I thoroughly enjoyed Terry Law's book on "The Power of Praise and Worship." This book speaks volumes to the individual who desires a closer walk with the Lord, and who longs to enter into his gates with joy and thanksgiving.I believe that we should definitely be in a state of praise and worship at all times even if we are praising God inside ourselves and conducting our own church service within our hearts. Terrry Law digs a bit deeper by demonstrating some biblical examples in which praise and worship made all of the difference.I highly recommend this book to any Christian who seeks to build upon his or her prayer life and who desire a more intimacy with the Lord in terms of feeling his presence and love all around. Though some of us may feel that the feeling of security and holiness is something that can only be felt in a church . . . I can assure you that once you are in the privacy of your own home with your arms stretched up and just thanking God for just another day. The power of praise will flow like a river all of the that our Father has done for us. This book is an excellent way to understand just how praise and worship can ACTUALLY LIFT up the spirit of heaviness, depression, and self-pity.This book is a must read. I highly recommend this book along with Franklin Hall's "The Fasting Prayer." If you really want to feel God's presence go on a selected fast and prayer experience in which you mix fasting, prayer, and praise. The heavens will open and God will show you what to do and how to do it. Read this book it has some interesting points!

A MUST READ

This book was used by God to show me how very much He desires for us to enter in His Presence. I was changed and transformed into a person of sincere worship. God longs for a personal relationship with His children, this book covers miracle working power through praise in as much as renewal through worship. If you are the one who desires to see God face to face, run don`t walk to your local Christian book store for this treasure.

A must read for all Christians.

I consider Terry Law to be a pioneer of contemporary Christian worship. His book, The Power of Praise and Worship, was written almost 15 years ago, yet it captures the essence of praise and worship for today's Church (the Body of Christ, or all believers). At first reading, I was surprised to find very little mention of music in the book's early chapters. I soon realized, however, that Mr. Law was laying a solid foundation for his beliefs about the power of praise and worship. In fact, he lays a solid foundation for the Christian faith. In this book, he sheds new light on the use of praise and worship as a tool to receive God's blessings and to win victory over the flesh and all forms of evil. Venturing into the arena of spiritual warfare, Mr. Law wields the power of three key weapons: The Word, The Name, and The Blood. He explains the power and authority that all Christians possess through The Word (Scripture), The Name of Jesus (God), and His Blood (Jesus'). Incorporating these spiritual weapons in the Church's praise and worship is essential. Mr. Law brings this truth to life in the latter chapters of this book, explaining that the power is in the weapons and that praise is the launching rocket! Although these truths were not new to me - and they probably aren't new to many Christians - my spirit was refreshed by the reminder. Your's will be, too.The Power of Praise and Worship is a must read for the person who desires to have victory, prosperity, and joy in this life. The book is written in plain English and is, therefore, easy to read. I have never been an avid reader, but I could not put this book down. I am telling my family and friends about it...and now I want to share it with you.
