A must for potty training!

We had a very difficult to potty train 3 year old and 2 year old that was as easy as could be. This book helped us address the needs, difficulties and challanges of both children. It was a great resource for us to use as reminders of how to stay on track!

What a life-saver book that EVERY mother should read!

I wish I would have read this book sooner.The author, Karen Deerwester, addresses daily challenges with the most practical REAL questions asked and answers that make this dreaded process much easier. This book made me feel optimistic and hopeful while potty training my daughter. Power struggles were our issue, and Deerwester's book made me relax and the process became a fun and more enjoyable experience for the both of us.I thought I was the only mom going through these setbacks/struggles.Such fabulous and clever stategies and gimmicks! I am actually looking forward to training my second child with far less anxiety.I truly recommend this answer book!

It Has Helped Us...

This book is perfect for so many reasons. First of all, it is small. It fits easily into the palms of my hands and the compact size is ideal. Secondly, it is organized logically. Every chapter is basically a list of questions grouped by relevance. The first page of each chapter lists every question answered in that chapter, so it is easy for you to find more discussion on any particular topic. Like, for example, in the first chapter alone(Potty Training Basics) I saw at a glance that I could find the answer to 1)when is the right age to train my son; 2)whether to teach him to potty sitting down or standing; 3)whether to train for pee or poop first -- and many others. Third, with over 200 questions addressed you are sure to find advice on just about any potty training issue you can think of. And I mean that. What I like best about the book is the fact that Deerwester does not claim to be a know-it-all. She offers both unique ideas as well as classic advice updated for this day and age. Her tone is gentle and caring, and more than once she reminds you to do what is right for your child. She wants to help you minimize frustration as you help your child maximize his success. The most important thing to me is that she offers more than one way to accomplish the goal, so that it is all the more easier to pick and choose what will work best for your toddler.

Excellent Book! A "must read" for parents!

The book is well written and fun to read. The author is very engaging; the question and answer format lends itself well to this subject - you can pick up the book and read it cover to cover, or select certain questions and get quick expert guidance. A great gift book for baby showers or new parents!
