Searching for true love perpetually may take multiple lifetimes. "The Pledge - Life Is Eternal and So Is Love" is a play on reincarnation over multiple generations in an attempt to locate a past love and within that lifetime correct past errors. Tom and Tish have loved before but just don't know it. Clues in the form of dreams, reactions and feelings stir them in the right direction. However, with each lifetime in the past, their attraction, courtship and union lasts only so long. This time around, will it be enough to alter the outcome of that union? Linda Everett Moye's "The Pledge" was a very interesting read. I enjoyed the concept. It was intriguing yet, for me, the correlation between "pledge" as in love for one another did not follow well with the thought of "pledge" as in fraternity/sorority. The fraternity/sorority backdrop does not reinforce the theme. However, the effort was valiant. I'd recommend "The Pledge" and think it would appeal to lovers of romance and those interested in possible afterlife/fate explanations. Reviewed by: Gail

The moment Tom and Tish saw each other at a sorority dance, there was an immediate attraction. Both had been through rough divorces and were a bit touchy about a new relationship, however, the pull was dramatic. In spite of their fears, they felt the connection and were powerless to stop it. When they talked, they found they were having some of the same dreams of a life in the past. Could it possibly be real? Even when they put aside their fears and come together, there are forces out there plotting to keep them apart. One was a woman who wanted Tom badly and would do anything to get him. Would she succeed? THE PLEDGE - LIFE IS ETERNAL AND SO IS LOVE by Linda Everett Moye is a touching story of soul mates who have met before. Will they find out about their previous life? A trip to New Orleans and a seer just might be the answer. This novel was a fascinating story about soul mates through the ages. The characters were well-developed and the story moved right along with suspense and tension. Sometimes it seemed as if failure was inevitable, setting my teeth on edge. It kept me turning those pages. Reviewed by Alice Holman of The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers
