The Perfect Pafko is a must read. I did not expect such a delightful novel and it just hit me over the head. I admit that I played a little baseball in my younger days, and that helped me enjoy this book; but it is not about baseball any more that "The Death of a Salesman" is about selling. It is about life, love, change and people. It have parts that are funny, sad, and very memorable. I cannot recommend this book enough.
Funny title, funny book

Bob Booth's book, THE PERFECT PAFKO, is fresh, charming, and achingly funny. As a stand up comedian, I know comedy, and I laughed out loud many times. I plan to use the line on page 11 about "non-functioning bipeds". In some parallel universe, there are two wizened old mothers, giving a play by play of my life, just like Herb and Skeeter. And I'm still looking for the Waffle World.
The best novel for everyone

When I read Robert Booth book "The Perfect Pafko I thought that he had really found a way to let everyone know just exactly what is happening in the sports associations any more. With all the twist and turns that Brady Greer had in his life. Brady Greer wanted to show Major League Baseball Association that they had lost the idea that baseball was supose to be fun instead of being greedy for money. I feel that this book should been sent to all sports associations and the players so they can see that sports should be played for fun not for the money. I can't wait till he writes another book.
The Perfect Pafko by Robert Booth

The Perfect Pafko fascinated me from the very first chapter. The lead character (Brady Greer) is the guy next door who, with a couple of twists of fate, takes a journey that can only be described as unimaginable. As a baseball fan for many years, I thoroughly enjoyed Brady's approach to the game. The book is filled with intrigue, romance and interesting characters. It is a very enjoyable novel. I look forward to Robert Booth's next book.

What an entertaining, delightful first novel. I've been reading too many "chick" novels which tend to categorize men into lowly cardboard figures. Early in The Perfect Pafko, Robert Booth creates a real, interesting, complex main character in Brady Greer. Then, once readers get attached to Brady, we're taken on a unique road trip. People enter Brady's life to help him on his quest and the reader has to keep the pages turning. The book is humorous, quixotic, fast paced, and leaves the reader waiting for a sequel, or at least another novel. Grab a copy, I think you'll agree.
