The Human Connection
When the wires go cold and the sky turns black, it isn't a machine that restores the light. It's the people of energy. When we harness nature's resources in oil fields, from the sun, or from the earth's core, it isn't machines running the operations. It's the people of energy.
Energy professionals are there during the blue-sky days of growth and the dark-sky days of disaster. The employers of these people are the sponsors of the local Little League, mentors in high school labs, and first responders during the most vulnerable moments of our lives.
As we look back on 20 years of CEWD, one truth remains: infrastructure can be replaced, but the dedication of our workforce is irreplaceable. We are more than a sector; we are a legacy.
The pipes and wires are simply the delivery system for our promise to one another. Thank you for allowing us to introduce you to some of the People of Energy--the hands, the heads, and the hearts that power our world.
