Unputdownable

This book shocked me and I loved the whole ride! Not sure who would think it is a good idea to do group therapy for divorced people who had their partners cheat on them. That would be a lot of anger and rage issues, much like this group had in fact. And I could understand their pain cause it really seemed like they got the short stick in their relationships, so a little revenge didn't seem bad. But boy did it escalate quickly! I must say, this little group has quite a few talents that when combined can wreak absolute havoc! Even when it was just the revenge parts that did not include physical harm. Though when the body count started, I was still hooked because it is quite the mystery about who is the mastermind behind it all, especially as even the members of the Othello Club are not safe! This story unfolds from quite a few viewpoints, mostly the ones from the group, though Detective Rosa gets her say as she tries her best to connect the dots as people die and disappear. And the chapters are short but so full of unhinged and crazy actions and characters. No one is totally innocent but it was still hard to see who was pulling the strings on this revenge gone wild spree of murder and mayhem. I loved the ending and this will be so much fun as a show! I am impressed that this is a debut book and I can't wait to see what other madness J.D. Pennington might come up with next!
