Cal tells what it takes.

In this book Cal Ripken talks about his career. How he accomplished his consecutive streak of Games played. He talks about being ordinary like every body else. He puts his heart into the game he loves. This is an excellent book, Vibrating that touches the heart. It changed the way I feel about the game of baseball. Now I try my hardest when I step on the diamond. And appreciate being able to be apart of the game.

The most insightful book about a sports star that I've read.

Gives a Ripken or sports fan a real prospective into the life a star leads and shows just how normal sports stars are. Great for any Ripken fan who wants to learn more about the man the call "The Iron Bird"

For Baltimorians!

Born, raised, and fifth-generation Baltimore, second-generation Oriole fan, I really enjoyed reading this book. I have seen many Oriole games, seen two at Memorial (Camden Yards was built when I was less than twenty years old), and many at Camden Yards. Cal Ripken, who is my favorite player, is a good writer - and buy this book!

This book was awesome!

Ripken talks about his childhood in a way that is not boring, for example, he talks about how him and his brothers and sisters broke so many windows that their dad taught them how to cut and replace windows! There are two sections of pictures, at least half of which are from Ripken's younger days, including a toddler. I highly recommend this book to any Baseball fan!

A Must Read For All Baseball Fans

This book details Cal's Life. The Information is great and so is the book.
