A Must Have

The One Minute Apology has helped me and my family cope with some very difficult times. The book facilitated greater communication and has enabled me to get through very tough situations while maintaining my integrity.

essential help for every important relationship

This book goes deeper into the anatomy of an apology than anything I've seen previously. Since it is part of the human condition to screw up, a part I seem to participate in fully, it is extremely useful to know how to go about getting yourself out of the dog house and how to give yourself the best possible chance of being forgiven. My wife and I conduct couples education workshops, which includes skills in conflict resolution. "The One Minute Apology" has made a major contribution to our understanding of the necessary elements of an effective apology.

Something we all need to remember

How often do we just say or hear "I'm sorry" followed by excuses and fingerpointing...and nothing changes? If everyone read The One Minute Apology, useless, meaningless apologies would be a thing of the past.I found the story in the book just as compelling as the message-I wanted to know what happened next, and along the way there were valuable ideas about how to make apologies meaningful to both the giver and the receiver. A rare combination...a good story with a better message utterly lacking in the preachiness inherent in so many self-improvement books. Once the reader gets past the idea that they are flawless and faultless, they can genuinely help themselves and others grow in honesty, integrity, and humility.

Sorry it took so long to write this

THE ONE MINUTE APOLOGY is such a treasure. I read it in about an hour, then my husand read it, and suddenly we couldn't stop apologizing. We starting out with nervous conviction, and then became silly. What was at first a challenge became fun and effortless.THE ONE MINUTE APOLOGY taught us that integrity and honesty aren't always learned in childhood. Sometimes we have to take them on ourselves in our adulthoods to learn these traits properly. Growing up in my family, saying sorry, showed weakness--blame was better, or silence--silence was golden.After I read THE ONE MINUTE APOLOGY I learned all that was a lie. Staking the claim of being wrong and apolgizing from the heart is the power supreme. There should be a new super hero APOLOGY MAN!! BRAVO ONE MINUTE APOLOGY.

Simple but important information

I love this book! I don't read many business parables, but a friend recommended this. Such valuable information-it really demonstrates how a person can make their life better if they are willing to think, listen, and be honest with themselves. Not just good for a business audience-good for everyone.
