The field was silent, a stark contrast to the chaos that had

unfolded mere hours ago. The air hung heavy, thick with the scent

of blood and death. Valen stood alone at the center, his eyes

scanning the expanse before him. The grass, once vibrant and lush,

was now trampled and stained-a macabre testament to the

battle's ferocity. Bodies lay strewn across the field, motionless and

silent, their lives brutally extinguished.

The sun, a pale disk in the sky, cast a somber light upon the

scene as if mourning the loss of so many. Valen's heart weighed

heavy in his chest as he surveyed the devastation. He had fought

alongside these warriors, laughed with them, and shared stories of

triumph and defeat. Now, they lay silent, their dreams and hopes

forever extinguished. He could feel the weight of their loss

pressing down upon him, a physical burden that threatened to crush

him. His eyes, filled with unshed tears, reflected the sorrow and

despair that engulfed his soul.

As he stood there, numb with grief, Valen's gaze fell upon a

solitary figure in the distance.
