Lady Maude Templeton has turned down many a marriage proposal. Why? She wants to marry for love--and her heart is set on one man alone. Theater owner Mr. Eden Hurst is sexy, talented, intelligent--and resoundingly in eligible What's more, he doesn't believe in love. It seems an impossible task, but Maude sets out to make Eden realize he needs love...and her. Society is about to see she can be just as shocking as her Ravenhurst friends when she puts her mind to it
I felt confident the author would not let us down with Maude's story; this was wonderful, and didn't have a boring spot in it. Eden was a great guy, a perfect match for the intelligent, straight-forward, lovely Maude. Neither one looked like the couple on the book cover, though. In my opinion, book covers shouldn't show people, only scenery. I'm glad Gareth was in it, wish it could have been more, but I was disappointed Ashe didn't receive more than a few mentions. You will adore this book; it didn't challenge the mind to figure things out, but it has a great plot and Eden and Maude are one of the finest couples in romance-truly in love, and they work well together. Maude's father was a delight. I did think the ending was a little 'campy' for lack of a better word, where the dilemma of Eden's past is settled. This was the one area where Eden didn't come across as cool and in control, in my opinion.
