In The Nomination, author Frederick Williams pens a gripping tale that weaves drama, intrigue, love, and politics into a wonderfully entertaining mystery. Mr. Williams' vivid character portrayals and descriptions of our Nation's capitol demonstrate his mastery of the artform as well as his extensive knowledge of Capitol Hill and the Washington, D.C. area. Readers will find this book thoroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

What an exciting new and refreshing voice in Black literature. That's Frederick Williams. His first novel The Nomination is filled with intrigue and serious questions about Black leadership in America. With his writing, he is bound to change the trend from relational novels to those with a more serious message. I think we may be reading 21st century Ralph Ellison, can't wait for a second novel. I will share this novel with other bookclubs.

I was curious about the number 14 on the cover. The characters were very well thoughtout and developed. The writer had me visualizing the landmarks and gave me a true sense of what is happening on capitol hill with our black leaders, relationships between politicians and their staff, and the sorted drug world and what can happen to a loved one. The Nomination is a page turner, I finally figured out what the number 14 represented on the cover and was thoroughly satisfied with the ending. Hope the author has much success. GOOD NOVEL
