Muslim Culture Explained

The idea of a non-Muslim having access to the inner workings of Islamic culture is incredible! That John Clark Mead became an anthropologist for the primary purpose of associating with the people of Islam is timely and relevant to our 9-11 understanding. His analysis of Islamic thinking as it relates to the threat to America is right on target. I would like to know better his specifics for combatting this threat.

A Hugh Threat

This is not a large book but it outlines in readable and credible structure a hugh threat that has to be taken seriously if the West is to survive.I just pray that the right people read this book, those that have a say in protecting our Nation.John Clark Mead knows first hand what he's speaking of, and I hope this book gets into the hands of our President and his advisors and that they read it with understanding and wisdom.

Very Frightening

If this book doesn't scare you, then you aren't paying attention. The very scary thing about the book is the matter of fact way he arrives at his conclusion. I actually put the book down a couple of times not wanting to read what came next. This book should be required readig for all americans. The only thing I did not like was his very obvious effort to not divulge names and places. under the circumstances I do know why. A VERY disturbing book.

A "MUST" READ BOOK FOR ALL AMERICANS

If you want to understand some of the reasons behind September 11th, you've got to read this book. It provided more insight into understanding the Islamic culture than any other source I've encountered. This book simply and clearly spells out who our aggressors are and their well thought out plan to destroy western civilization.

You won't be the same after you read this book!

I could not put the book down - it convinced me that the US' approach to dealing with a "rogue group of fanatics" by going cave-to-cave is futile. John Clark Mead shares his story of how he had unprecedented access to Islamic leaders with millions of followers - no one will probably ever have this kind of access ever again. An extraordinary number of incredible coindicences put him in a place that a US spy would have dreamed about. It also helped me to better understand this powerful and growing religion, and gave me an appreciation for the level of devotiion that they have for their God. We must act now - not by doing cave searches, but by taking a whole new approach to our dealings with the ever-growing Islamic world. If we do not, 9.11.01 will be thought of as an appetizer compared to what may happen.
