The heart of TAO Shiatsu (and of TAO in general) is discussed in great detail in this book published by Master Ryokyu Endo, who is also the author of "Tao Shiatsu: Life Medicine for the Twenty-First Century". Together these two books cover both the medical system (this is the focus of the first book - "Tao Shiatsu - life medicine for the twenty-first century") and the Author's personal journey into the world of Ki (energy) in his 25 years of clinical work (this is the focus of this book). Most people think shiatsu is some form of massage and as such is all about the physical touch. They can't be further from the truth, as this book vividly explains shiatsu is all about the Tao heart, without which no treatment can occur. This book tackles this highly abstract subject of Tao heart and the world of Ki in a very simple language with many vivid stories based on the personal experience of the author. Any Shiatsu enthusiast or even a person with some interest in eastern medicine MUST own both books. It is also highly recommended to those in search of the real spiritual work done by great masters at the far east. On a side note the author (and some teachers trained by him) teach workshops all over the world. While reading this book can be a very powerful experience, it is not even close to attending one of these workshops and receiving the Tao Heart directly from the teacher - a very important element in teachings from the far east.
