The Missing U-Boat Enigma
Fueled by mystery, grit, glory, and sandwiches, three modern-day teens uncover America's history and forgotten treasures one adventure at a time. The hunters are Ben Prescott, 18--The researcher, the mystic, the trailblazer. Porter Rockwell, 17--The man of action, the social glue. And Latch McRae, 17--The mechanic, the gear man, the straight-shooter.
The U-Boat That Vanished
High school seniors Ben Prescott, Porter Rockwell, and Latch McRae don't seem to fit together at first glance. Homeschooled Ben has brains and vision. Porter is a man of action, with brawn, good humor, and social ability. And Latch McRae is a wizard with engines and equipment. They're drawn together by a shared passion: treasure hunting for the forgotten loot of American history.
After a hurricane rearranges a sound-side shoreline of the North Carolina Outer Banks, the hunters find a broken piece of antique china on a newly formed sandbar. It's a shard that comes from the plateware of the WW II German Navy. There's only one way such a shard could turn up in the sandbank--brought by a sunken enemy U-boat.
But was the German U-boat on the attack, or was it part of a far more mysterious operation? Seeking the answer, the Hunters run up against dangerous local goons and the shadowy, nefarious Alignment, both determined to steal whatever treasure the hunters uncover. Facing long odds, the hunters race for answers, crack old codes that even the World War II codebreaking geniuses couldn't, and gear up for scuba diving on a dangerous, fascinating wreck that may contain a mountain of wartime German loot, and the answer to a decades-old wartime enigma.
Book 4 in an all-new series where the high school age male heroes are smart, tough, and resourceful--and hunting treasure from American history's secret past is the greatest game of all.
