I grew up in a Pentecostal Church. I have witnessed firsthand the beauty of the Pentecostal experience as well as the abuse of it. Many only know the Holy Spirit as an impersonal "it." They truly do not know the third person of the Trinity. As such, it has led to an imbalanced teaching and knowledge of who He is and what part He plays in our lives. My generation was raised with the King James wording of "God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost." Most translations now use "Holy Spirit," which we know to be one and the same, but I'm sure I will go back and forth between the two. Don't let the usage of one word as opposed to the other prevent you from reading what God has placed in my heart in this booklet. The end of the earthly ministry of Jesus is at hand. He has entered triumphantly into Jerusalem. With His disciples gathered around, He washes their feet and institutes the Lord's Supper. As He began to share with them the events that were about to unfold, they were saddened. It was almost like Jesus wrapped His arms around them and promised that even though He would be going away, He would send another Comforter, One who would abide with them, teach them, and remind them of all that Jesus had said and done. One who could bring peace in the midst of the storms they would face. While the Holy Spirit is seen throughout the Bible, He is about to come to the forefront. And yet, for some reason, we seem to have a limited understanding of who He is and all He wants to be in our lives. In this brief study, I want to examine what the Bible says about the Holy Ghost and how we should fervently seek Him to be an active part of all we do. From the beginning of my ministry, my calling has been to take a stab at the heart of those I'm speaking to. With God's help and anointing, I'm aiming to see a change in a person's life. I believe every time we attend church or involve ourselves in reading and studying the Word, we should draw closer to God. There is always more to learn. The destination is in sight, but the journey continues until then. There are times when the message comforts us, encourages us, and gives us the strength to keep going, and we all need that. There are also times when the message rebukes and chastises us, and sometimes we need that more. Either way, the intent is to draw closer to God. That is a massive part of the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. Touching people for Jesus is important to me. Eternity is just around the next bend in the road. I pray this booklet will prove to be a blessing to all who read it. Please check out my ministry page and follow what God is doing in my life at RonaldWilsonMinistries.com.
