Easy read and an emotional one, too!

This is my first book by Crystal Green, but undoubtedly not my last. This book is too cute and heartwarming for words. I smiled, I cried, I even contemplated how I'd feel if placed in Emmylous' position. Emmylou Brown was a cook for the wealthy Rhodeses and alwayd a a crush on the youngest son of the clan, Deston. Her family for years served his. A case of mistaken identiy FINALLY leads her into the arms of her Prince Charming. But would family arrogance, shortcomings, lies, betrayal and deceit overshadow the blossoming love between Emmylou and Deston? Could their baby break the mode of lines drawn between the wealthy and the poor? Those who have and those who have-nots? Read this book and find out. Trust me: You won't be disappointed. Deston is a hero with a dark past and fear of commitment and Emmylou a heroine who haplessly entered into a web of deceit that really had no way of ending on a good note either way, but continued the charade if only to keep Deston with a smile on his face. Both characters were complexed and layered, which made for a pleasant read. I couldn't put this book down. The beginning, and especially the ending will leave you with a smile on your face and on the edge of your seat wanting more.
