Unlike their Gilded Age counterparts, these men were professional fortune hunters who deftly preyed upon the insecurities of the independent, and often orphaned, mega-heiresses of the 20s and 30s. The Million Dollar Studs is an addendum to the many books on the market about the American heiresses of the pre-WWI era, but the stories detailed have a much darker and more malignant tone.
