I had the good fortune to meet Mrs. Rogers at a woman's show in St. Louis in February 2003 at which time I purchased her book. The reason the information in the book is so helpful is because Mrs. Rogers explains menopause in such a woman to woman way. Golly, I didn't even know the difference between perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause let alone all the symptoms that I have (and will) experience. I was surprised in the review by razzjones who said it didn't answer any of her questions. She must not have read this book because it answered ALL my questions and then some. This is a fantastic guidebook that I'm using now, and that I'll refer to in the future.
Midlife Perils

This book takes you through the stages of life, from early teens to grandparenthood. I found the book to be informative, humorous, and obviously written by someone who has lived to tell about it. I highly recommend this book as a survival guide for those approaching midlife or who loves someone who is.

I'm 49 & I sweat all the time. No matter where I go or what I do, I'm hot. Everybody keeps telling me, it's just me. This books explains why I'm hot & that it's normal. The author explains what I'm going through in simple, easy to understand words. I received this book as a gift. The author goes to her church. From one Christian to another, I ordered a copy for one of my friends just entering menopause. It will help her like it has me. Very informative with a great touch of warmth from one woman to another. Thanks!
Probably the BEST book about Menopause I have read!

Of all the menopause books out there, this is the easiest to read. The medical facts are laid out, plain and simple. Every topic is discussed factually but in a very down-to-earth way, and I do mean EVERY topic. Donna Rogers left no stone unturned. And she has such common sense ways to deal with hot flashes, lost memory and everything else that "changes" during menopause. I think it was a very good idea to have chapters for husbands and children, too, because, as the author says, they go through menopause right along with women. The Top Ten Reasons were fun. And the glossary has been very helpful. This book isn't fluffy or silly, and it isn't dry and boring. It's JUST RIGHT!

This book is something every woman should keep handy on their shelf. It is very clearly laid out and written so anyone can understand it. I found the medical terminalogy very helpful and useful. The author kept my interest throughout with personal touches and stories. Excellent book. I highly recommend it to any woman.
