An important book

The basic idea in this book is one well worth considering and putting into practice every moment of the day: think about your posture. But the difference between this book and others with the same message is that the message is NOT the same! It really is a new way of thinking about how you move. I was and still am impressed. A very beautifully produced book too. If you have back, leg, knee injuries or pain, this book could really be the start of a new life. I first heard about this practitioner's ideas on FoxNews and bought the book as a result. I was not disappointed. I suppose if I had to be critical of the book I would say there is a bit of filler, but the message has to be gotten across and the author certainly knows her stuff. It's already altered the way I walk down the street!

Until I started using Lisa Ann's excercises, I had knee pains, but her unique stretches relieved my pain while making me stronger.
No more pain!
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 24 years ago
I have suffered from lower-back pain for years, and more recently shoulder pain -- just the result of living a sendentary life at a computer screen for 20-something years. Traditional physical therapy has always let me down. In fact, there have been times I've actually felt it hurt. That's why I'm so lucky to have stumbled across this book. Finally, here is a way of using your body that makes sense! Lisa Ann McCall explains how we've lost touch with the way our bodies were meant to work -- and she gives you a simple, common-sense approach to getting back to healthy, pain-free movement. Her exercises are deceptively simple, and easy to do. No huffing, puffing or straining. The instructions are easy to follow, and the accompanying photos help, as well. I've been spending a few minutes a day over the past few weeks doing the various exercises, and I can't begin to express how much better I feel. How can this approach not be what all physical therapists will be doing in another 20 years?
