The Lord of the Lockdown: Psalms 80-98, Volume 5

On March 15, 2020, the world changed. Cities, states, provinces, and nations closed their borders and went into a global lockdown. Churches had to resort to online services, with only a few allowed to attend in person. Some had to close in-person services completely. During that time, God spoke to me to stay the course and continue preaching through the Book of Psalms. Little did I realize how prophetic these psalms were in relation to the pandemic resulting from a lab-made virus. On that Sunday, March 15, 2020, I had preached Psalm 79 (included in my previous book, volume 4). During the next two months of the lockdown, I would preach Psalms 80 through Psalm 91. Therefore, I have titled this fifth volume The Lord of the Lockdown. I would preach the remainder of the psalms (92-98) in August and September of 2020. Although the lockdown was over by then, many still had not returned to the church and watched online. May each of these psalms encourage you as you consider the strangeness of 2020 and how the world has changed.
