True to Life on the Road in a Big Rig

This is the real story of a cross country (long haul) trucker's life on the road. The terms, the descriptions, the anecdotes are exactly how my husband talked about it. I was a trucker's wife for 30 years and served coffee to our four 18 wheeler drivers at the kitchen table morning noon and night, but never really understood their lives, their worries, or their fascination with the career. How I wish I had been able to read this book years ago. I'd buy a copy for every wife of a trucker if I could because it explains the reasons we should be more understanding of their way of life and more forgiving of their long absences.
