A few words about the Author I am an engineer and economist by education. For the past approximately 5 years, I worked in various kindergartens on Ask y and in Bergen in Norway. Why have I written the children's book "The small clay figures in the kindergarten"? I find that working with children is very interesting and educational. A normal working day in kindergarten is a bit of a day that fantasy mixes with reality. Children love the fantasy world where miniature friends with magical powers live and experience a series of interesting adventures. At the same time, those characters can live in the human world, build their little houses, drive little cars and mysteriously help children in everyday activities. Therefore, the clay figures Mimi and her teddy bear Mirabilis, Hopi, Svayingy and Hubert were created. It was work with children that inspired me to write this book. What is the book about? The main characters in the book are the four clay figures made by four children in the kindergarten. When children play with them, the figures come to life. And they experience funny adventures when the kindergarten is empty. They also become more familiar with other toys, i.e., various animals and dolls. The characters have their powers and characteristics, for example Mimi, and only Mimi, can talk to animals. Hopi can jump very high like a ball. Svayingy skis very well, although his very long arms and legs bend in all directions. What is the aim of the book? Exciting stories and funny dialogues should give the children a lot of fun. The book also covers important topics. It's about friendship, being good to others and helping each other. The book consists of 20 chapters, which present 20 different stories. Colourful pictures can be an additional inspiration for children and adults to play together.
