When I was in my last year in junior college I stumbled upon this book in the school library while studying for my exams. I did little studying that afternoon because the stories kept me addicted and yearning for more of such varied writing. The stories collected in this book do not only wax lyrical about the romance of insomnia they speak about love, loss and loneliness. Maybe I was a very depressed 18 year old but I enjoyed one particular story about how one writer yearned for his ex lover and listened to symphonies in the middle of the night while he cried into his pillow. I've been dying to purchase this book but it is out of print. Hear me out! I need this book to keep me company through my life. High recommended for those addicted to depression.
Up All Night Anyone?

I purchased this book on the spur of the moment nearly three years ago while at college. Needless to say I was a self inflicted insomniac. I love this book and can find pieces of myself in every situation (almost)! Interesting, and sick at times, a definitive text-perhaps for the night stand rather then the coffee table.
A Great Collection

A wonderful tapestry of sleeplessness, from Chekhov to Cahill. Anyone who's ever counted sheep will enjoy this book.
I can't sleep

This is very first time I am writing a book review. So I will just write how I feel about this book briefly. Yeh.. I don't sound like a professoinal critics, but I liked this book. A friend of mine got me this book, because i am an insomniac. But sad thing is that I still can't sleep. I was expecting to get some help from this book, but the book wasn't much about helping to sleep. I really really liked the book. How should I put it. Reading this book is like when you go to new restaurant and try some dishes that you never had, but at the end of the meal, you totally fell in love with the meal you just tried for the first time. This book gave me a pleasure out of nowhere, and it was love at first sight. I am not going to say much about what the book is about, because first, it is not funner, if you watch preview before the movie, and secondly, you just have to read it. That's all! Thank you for reading. I hope you find this book, and love it.
