Warning: may cause you to work out too long! ;)

I like to read while I'm exercising. For me a really good book is one where I'm so into the story I don't pay attention to the timer on the machine. Well this book is a really good book! I ended up so into the story that I exercised way past my usual time...now my legs are sore! Too bad I've finished, I could have lost another size! ;)

The List

The List is a wonderful book! I loved it and couldn't put it down! Can't wait to see what Carmen Shirkey writes next!

Great read!!

I got this book in the mail yesterday, and I couldn't put it down until I read it all!! The characters are smart and vibrant, without giving you the feeling that these-people-don't-exist. The vibe between the main character and her friends is smart and sassy--their banter made me laugh out loud (the real thing, not that fake lol that people sometimes write in emails). It was like having a conversation with an old friend--rather than just feeling like you are eavesdropping in someone's life. The "list" in the title is chock-full of things that we've all thought (out loud sometimes, with our girlfriends). Definitely a great read--especially if you've ever had to experience the mind-numbing frustration of the 20-30 something "dating scene"! I can't wait to see more books by Carmen Shirkey!!! (as a fellow Virginian, also from the Shenandoah Valley--I loved Carmen's shout outs to Staunton and Charlottesville!!)

Awesome!!

This book was fantastic, witty and puts down on paper what we all think and live in the life of a 20/30s someone. A quick and fun read that is sure to give you quite a few laugh-out-loud moments!!!
