The Lighthouse: Some Lights Should Never Be Followed

By R Ashley II

Some places are meant to be forgotten. Some lights should never be followed. When five friends stumble upon an abandoned lighthouse hidden along a lonely stretch of coastline, they think they've discovered the perfect secret hideout. It's a place to escape, hang out, and spend their nights daring each other with scary stories.Until one of those stories starts becoming real.Inside the keeper's cottage, they uncover an old journal filled with disturbing entries, missing pages, and a warning they don't understand until it's too late: Whatever you do, never follow the light. The lighthouse hasn't operated in decades. There's no electricity running to its lamp.Yet one night, the beacon comes alive. And instead of shining toward the sea, it turns toward them.Soon their names mysteriously appear inside the journal, children who vanished generations ago begin appearing in the darkness, and something beneath the lighthouse starts to awaken. The five friends came looking for a place to call their own.Now the lighthouse has chosen them.To survive, they'll have to uncover what happened there in 1947, discover what the light was truly built to contain, and decide how far they're willing to go to save one another.Because once the lighthouse knows your name, escaping the cliffs may not be enough.A chilling supernatural mystery about friendship, buried secrets, missing children, and a lighthouse whose beam was never meant to guide anyone home.
