The Legend of Buffalo Head: and other short stories

Some people challenge themselves to find the limits of how much weight they can lift or how fast they can run, however, while writing this book I challenged myself to see how far I could stretch my imagination. My characters include explorers hacking their way through a dense jungle, a wounded Revolutionary War soldier, a girl in a kimono, a camera collector and a one-legged man down on his luck. I wrote a few stories in the first person. I put myself in the position of a miner prospecting for gold in the Yukon Territory, a young man on his way to a rodeo, a baby about to be born, and a little boy selling apples. One story is set in the Amazon jungle, another is set in Western Massachusetts, two stories are set in Kansas.
