The saddest end to a relationship is when you have to break up with somebody when you're still in love with them. It sounds bizarre, but it happens because the truth is, Elizabeth had to run for her life. She couldn't go on with all the hitting and kicking her husband was doing to her. Love isn't always enough, and to be in love doesn't always mean you're happy. Elizabeth wasn't happy beating up every day. She had to grab her two little children and run for their lives, hit under a blanket in the back seat of her uncle's car.
Even after she was hurt by her husband and he would tell her he was sorry, he wouldn't do it again. He would beat her up again the next day. She knew deep down inside she had to get away. Sometimes, no matter how nice she was, how kind she was, how caring she tried, it just wasn't enough for all the things she was going through.
