Book Overview

In her seven years as a hard-driven assistant state's attourney in Annapolis, Maryland, Jan Garret has been told more than once that she needs to distance herself from her cases. A Wonderful Read.

Another good read by Ms Allison. I've read her other novels and even though this wasn't the best, it was good just the same. I recommend.

My first Margaret Allison book, but not my last

I have never read a Margaret Allison book before, but after reading this book I am hooked. It was very suspenseful with some romance thrown in. You won't be sorry you bought it.

Great Book

A friend loaned this book to me and I loved it. It was a quick read, kept me interested, and found the characters to be very easy to follow.

I Loved It!

"The Last Curve" is another great read by Margaret Allison, it is mostly suspenseful with just the right amount of romance, you have to read this one along with her other book "Promise Me"

A very well done romantic intrigue

In 1988 Maryland, an assailant abducts and rapes Frannie Garret. As a souvenir, he cuts off a lock of hair. Curtis Custin is arrested, convicted, and sent to prison for the crime. After the trial ends, Frannie apparently kills herself.A decade later, Frannie's younger sister Jan, an Assistant District Attorney, learns that a female corpse was found. The victim, one Lucy Haverdale was sexually assaulted and murdered with a lock of her hair removed. Police detective Max Hale heads the investigation, which Jan has personal interest in because the modus operendi was identical to that of her sibling. As she works in close proximity with Max, the duo falls in love. However, any permanent relationship between them seems remote as neither can cope with one another and a serial killer-rapist has no compunction in murdering either Max or Lucy.THE LAST CURVE is a well-designed romantic intrigue that fans of serial killer who-done-its will take pleasure in reading. The story line is crisp and non-stop while the lead protagonists add a romantic element to the drama. Margaret Allison provides her audience with a fabulous tale that will garner her many new fans.
