A Layered Adventure

I read this some months ago and really enjoyed it. The story carries over well from the first book, but the plot and settings are fresh and interesting with plenty of action. I found layers of meaning in the events and characters that added a thoughtfulness you don't usually see in adventures written for younger readers. It certainly kept this 'mature' reader interested, thoughtful and looking forward to the next book in the series. It also made me want to learn more about Puget Sound Native cultures and legends. I would reccommend this book and series to adults as well as younger readers.
