Good advice and easy to read

This was an easy read, with lots of useful information. There are "Smart Mama Tricks" sprinkled throughout that provide lots of helpful tips. I'm expecting my first child, and this book covers most of the topics that I have questions about. It's not super detailed, but I see that as a positive. Some books on baby-rearing can be overwhelming with things to remember. This book seems to give a good basic overview. I'm sure I'll be referring to it again once the baby is here.

A Welcome Surprise

I bought this book on a whim and because it looked humorous. My husband and I were both pleasantly surprised by how practical and helpful it is! As first time parents we are always in search of good practical information. Of all the books we purchased this has been the best so far. It is a wonderful resource for first time parents. It gives great "how-to" details about a wide range of areas such as bathing, nail clipping, diapering, etc. It also helps a first time parent think through a wide range of topics that may not naturally come to mind. I strongly recommend it!

This little book is packed with a wealth of well-presented, easy to access, balanced information. It is very easy to read and reference topics, which is essential because the first year can be so blurry! I especially love the "Smart Mama Tricks" which appear throughout the book. I wish I had had this book when I had my first child. A perfect gift for all the new moms you know.
