very fun read!!

I really enjoyed this book and thought it was lots of fun!! the story is different, it is action-packed, and sexy! I know the author has a new book under contract and I can't wait to read that one, too!!

Very HOT !!!

Fantastic!! Paranormal romance. This was great. I wasnt expecting much from this novel. A good shifter romance. I was surprised and in a good way which is why I gave it 4 stars. Miu is a thief sent to steal a charmed necklace from the Cat People. Jafar is no ordinary Cat man. He is a guardian especially assigned to protect the treasures of the Cat People and to guard a doorway against evil demons. This was a great 1st book by Anne Marsh. Miu is a heroine that you can love. While her actions to save her sister make her rash at times you have to see how sincere she is about rescuing her sister. Jafar is a sensuos hero that teams up with Miu in her efforts. Dont want to give up to much of the story but a worth read that will keep you engaged from the great beginning to the fulfilling ending. My only downside is that it is short. Only about 280 pages

exciting romantic fantasy

At the Temple of Amun-Ra, Miu hesitantly enters the tunnels. Her quest is to save her sister and to complete a loyalty pledge she made to her employer the thief master Lierr. She must steal a powerful moonstone necklace from the crypt and escape the legendary Guardian warriors who are said to be shapeshifters; although she believes they are mortal warriors only everything she heard is no female ever escaped THE HUNT. Jafar the Guardian notices Miu and concludes she will prove to be a pest as she refuses to undergo the standard virginity test. Amun-Ra orders Jafar to follow Miu to learn why she is here confident and disobedient unlike the other frightened females. Jafar does not know how much trouble she causes as he catches her stealing a necklace and begins to believe she is his mate, but she deserves a stiff penalty as he was betrayed once before by a female. The moment Miu breaks the laws by entering the tunnels this exciting romantic fantasy gets its claws into the audience who go in with her and never let's go until the final confrontation with Amun-Ra. The key to the Marsh mythos is realm of THE HUNT seems genuine as the author provides enough lore interwoven nicely into the (too many) subplots for readers to believe in its existence. With a nod to Egyptian mythology and a strong support cast, fans will cheer on the lead pair through action to the nth degree while each has doubts about a relationship between them. The Hunt by Anne Marsh Paranormal Romance- Sept. 29th, 2009 5 stars The Hunt is a thrilling story that leads the reader in directions that are surprisingly unexpected and absorbing. The cast of characters are intriguing and the imaginative world and culture the author has created are captivating. Miu is a beautiful thief, her powers with the moon make her an ideal candidate to steal the prized moon necklace from the Cat Temple. This attempt is suicidal but Miu is determined because the price of failure is her sister's life. But the only way to enter the Cat Temple is to participate as a bride of the Hunt. In the Hunt virgin females are given a dowry and in exchange are hunted by the Cat men as potential mate. Miu decides to pretend she is one of the many brides, it is the perfect way to disguise herself, steal the necklace and escape. She definitely doesn't want any mate must less one of the fierce Cats. But Mui's arrogance makes her stand out among the crowd. The leader of the temple orders Jafar, one of his most trusted Guardians to find out what mischief she is up to. And that is when trouble and passion collide! Jafar has already spotted Mui and although he is intensely attracted to her he doesn't want any female especially after the last female he picked endangered the temple. Jafar follows Mui but because he doesn't have the usual Cat men markings she mistakes him for a mercenary. (Jafar is a special Guardian that protects a hidden doorway to a dangerous world.) As the 2 become close Mui realizes Jafar has deceived her and although she has grown to enjoy his company she must finish her quest no matter the cost. But Mui doesn't count on Jafar's possessive nature and steely determination. Because he has other ideas and they all involve Mui! I fell in love with this story and its characters! I loved the gutsy heroine and the very sexy, alpha male. The relationship between the main characters was much hotter than I expected. I really enjoyed how the hero stood by Miu. Miu is a tough character who is confident in herself and extremely focused. I liked her strong personality but as a consequence Miu has never had anyone who she could lean on before. I especially enjoyed the sections where Miu grows to trust and believe in Jafar. And readers, Jafar is irresistible! His protective and `animalistic' side which made me wish I was his mate instead of Mui! Jafar defends Mui but he is no one's fool. I liked how he recognized Miu's worth and believed in her even when she was unsure about herself. Miu never had a chance! As she slowly lets Jafar see her vulnerable side, their developing love and respect are a true joy to read. As a side note, Anne Marsh has written equally interesting secondary characters and I would especially like to know more about the darkly tormented Hebon. (Hint!) The Hunt is: original, imaginative and surprisingly sensual. I am crossing my fingers that this is only the first in the series

good 1st novel hoooot love scenes

this was a good 1st novel . i want to read more of the hunters mate romanances . having said that, anne jumps around and its hard to understand the story until later , i think that she will line herself out in the next book. her sex scenes are spot on though , really intense. speaking of jumping around lol miu is a prepared awesome woman she is more well thought out than jafar and thats a shame . i wish instead of starting at the cave she could have started with ebu at the camp or better yet with lierr so you knew why she had to be at the cave for the hunt . the amun ra is always 3 steps ahead of everyone else and i enjoyed him , i look forward to him manipulating the other cats with women they need . hopefully miu's sister will come looking for her and find love herself lol . get this book though. the story is pretty good .
