The House on Marlowe Lane

A beautiful 16-year old runaway girl is abducted while hitch-hiking on a back road in the woods of Minnesota one evening. Her abductor is a vile, depraved alcoholic named Jimmy Ray Jackson.

Jackson sells the girls he kidnaps to a middleman who, in turn, sells them to Michael St. Lawrence, a wealthy industrialist. St. Lawrence and his team groom the girls and then use them as the sexual entertainment for his other wealthy friends, well-known entertainers, influential politicians, and even one former U.S. president, at his isolated, multi-million dollar compound, Valhalla.

Once they've outlived their usefulness, the young girls are sold on the dark web for service into prostitution rings, or for a sordid life in the porn industry. Because of his powerful connections, St. Lawrence has operated with impunity.

Jimmy Breen, former FBI agent and also a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist, has just arrived in Minnesota to try his hand at fishing. While there, he meets an elderly lady and offers to help her with some home repairs in exchange for her allowing him to keep his camper on her property.

The lady lives out on a forlorn stretch of road, Marlowe Lane, directly across from Jackson and his wife. Breen has reason to believe that the Jacksons are holding a young girl captive in their basement. Will he be able to rescue the girl before Jackson disposes of her?
