The House of Dellroy

The Dellroys' are one of the most powerful and influential families in the African American community. A people of tradition, many in the black community don't approve of their Old-School mentality and codes of conduct that have been passed down for generations right from their original African ancestor. However, these outdated values have served them well. Indeed, they have made the Dellroys' what they are today.

Many years have passed since his war with the yakuza and Dellroy has stepped down and left the affairs of the family business to his grandson's wife, Queenie. However, Papa J.D is still the patriarch of his family and the enforcer of its laws. James E. Dellroy wasn't a young man when he went to Japan to avenge his niece, Reina, and the honor of his family. But although now very advanced in age, his words and presence still holds weight. And the name 'Ezomo' still commands respect and even fear throughout the African Diaspora and beyond. However, there are still rats in the house of Dellroy.

In Japan, Reina's family has been drama free for years. Infants and toddlers at the time of the war with Okajima are now teens. But trouble is coming. One of Queenie's sons has broken the oldest number one taboo of the Dellroy family and set in motion events that none could have predicted. All the branches of the great tree will be called home as the drums of war sound once again. They've heard the stories, but now Reina's grandchildren will see firsthand why it is not wise to pick a fight with the Dellroys.
