Gulnar knows Dante will leave but she's willing to give everything for only moments spent with him. She'd vowed never to love again, only to realize that she never had truly loved until Dante. Ms. Gates has floored me again with this story packed with emotional intensity. Both Gulnar and Dante fight the scars of their pasts to find a future that neither ever dreamed they were worthy of.
