The Haunting of Shaw Manor

The Haunting of Shaw Manor is comprised of three installments of the Widow's Watch Trilogy. The Manor is haunted and has sat unoccupied for decades when Bill Pender, an author that had found fame, buys the home once owned by a famed ship captain and his wife. The Shaw's lives were ended in tragedy and left the house void of life. The manor is strange as it is in pristine condition even though it has been vacant for years. Upon moving in the horror begins. The story takes place in Cape Neddick, Maine over the course of 25 years that the Pender's live there. The hauntings come and go but there are always deaths. As the family grows with the addition of children, the problems continue with Bill Pender's wife Cathy's friend Tracy falling from the widow's watch to her death. Cathy, the museum director in Wells, Maine brings home a statue she considers a piece of art, but which is possessed by an evil so malevolent it threatens all who enter the Manor. Their daughter Gaea and son Aerin are both psychic mediums that can see, hear and speak to the dead. With the spirits increasing in number in the home, the hauntings once again mount until the monovalent present returns, this time with the intent to take one of the children.
