Excellent Book

This is the perfect book for children ages 2-4. The simple text and lift-the- flaps keep their interest while they learn about the fun of Easter. The opening page says "We're going on an Easter Egg Hunt!". Following pages have the group looking for Easter Eggs around the house and outdoors. Text is "Are the eggs under the staircase? (Lift the flap) No, but there's a chocolate bunny!" I like this book because it familiarizes children with all the elements of Easter (eggs, Easter bonnets, pretty flowers, etc) and yet is simple enough not to overwhelm them. When teaching my two year old class, I say "What are we looking for?" throughout my reading of the book. After reading, we hunt for paper Easter Eggs around the classroom. I read this book many times in the days leading up to Easter.
