It is likely that 100% of adults in the United States of America will be overweight by the year 2050. Health and nutrition are constantly rejected by society at large in favor of hedonistic over-consumption, which has lead to confusion and disillusionment among those seeking to lose weight and adopt healthier relationships with food. Around one year ago, at the age of 18, I weighed 360 pounds. I was obese for the majority of my life, but this was my highest weight. Being morbidly obese impacted all aspects of my life and left me feeling miserable and hopeless. I had wanted to lose weight and make positive changes for years, but I didn't understand enough about nutrition or weight loss to make any progress. Over the course of the last year, however, I have opened my eyes to the realities of my situation and the global impact of the obesity pandemic. After years of trial and error I finally lost nearly 200 pounds, and in this book are the steps that I took to achieve physical wellness and become an entirely new person. In "The Good Ending", I offer many simple lifestyle changes and weight-loss approaches that all helped me reshape my relationship with food. Additionally, I give insight into what will become of my generation (nicknamed "Generation Z") if nothing is done to stop obesity from continuing on its current upward trend.
