Fantasy & Romance blend

I enjoy Cheney’s blend of fantasy and romance and have read books in the Golden City, Palace of Dreams, and Iron Shoes series. Oriana and Duilio are my favorites of her characters. They both have a deep, steady center, but a chameleon surface. It makes them good diplomats, ambassadors . . . or spies.
