At age 32, I was paralyzed on the entire left side of my body. It was Thanksgiving Day 1984, when I woke up in a hospital bed with intravenous tubing in my arm. After two weeks of extensive testing Medical Doctors diagnosed me as having Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I was transferred to a room with a lupus patient who prepared me for the depression I would face for the rest of my life. MS has the highest rates of depression among all disabilities, including cancer, substance abuse, withdrawal and epilepsy combined. I finally decided I had enough and checked myself out of the hospital. During the past three decades I have learned how to reframe, retune, recalibrate and reposition everything I am hearing about the so called disease. I have learned how to control my depression. I am a believer. Applying techniques I have learned has given me iron grip control over everything in my life including Multiple Sclerosis.
