More than societal sexism

Mark E. Kann's work is important and fascinating. He goes beyond the idea that American politics (especially the presidaency) is the result of general male domination in Western society to argue thath it was specifcally built into the political stuctures of our nascient nationhood. As such, he not only contributes to the discussion around a potential woman president, but he adds nuance to issues of masculinity and presidential politics.
