Karen is 52 years old. Like many women her age, she is risk adverse. She is comfortable in her life and has accomplished quite a bit, raising two boys, maintaining a household, and teaching English for nearly 30 years. But Karen is also very competitive and rather strong-willed (stubborn) . It was this combination of traits that provided part of the motivation for her to learn how to ride a motorcycle. This book is an account of Karen's experience as she gains her initial interest in biking, then moves from passive observer to active participant.
