The Footprints of God: Recognizing God's Presence in the Ordinary

This book began as a response to a challenge. In the spring of 2018, the leadership of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas oered a challenge to its membersand associates. On December 21, 2018, the Sisters of Mercy would be celebrating the 175th Anniversary of their frst arrival in the United States to the city ofPittsburgh. To give special meaning to this event, we were challenged to do 175works of Mercy. Throughout the United States, the sisters, their associates, theirstudents and friends accepted the challenge and soon there were 175 lunchesprepared for the homeless, 175 pairs of winter socks collected, 175 hand knittedscarves, 175 notes written to shut-ins, 175 Rosaries prayed, and countless moreacts of mercy. Using my gift of photography, I decided to send, via the internet, a nature photograph each day for 175 days leading up to the celebration in December. Each photo is accompanied by a scripture verse and short reection.
