Simply amazing.

By far one of the best zombie books (and series the other 2 books are great too) that I have read and I'm very picky. This book is raw, real, and has an excellent balance of emotion and gore. It has all the heart stopping action you expect from the genre while also taking the time to explore the toll that losing pieces of your humanity and reality can take on individuals and community.

This whole series rocks!

I've been on a Zombie story reading binge the last couple weeks. This was the second author I read, and this whole series is great. I've read 3 other novels in this genre since this series, and they all pale in comparison.

Super amazing Zombie story!!

I must say I very impressed of this series. Didn't think a Z' story would ever make me cry,but it did. To make it short, its a awesome read that i have enjoyed from book 1 to 3...it has a good mix of ,the living vs the dead. !!!Happy reading!!!

Great story by a fabulous author!

First book I have ever read by Rhiannon Frater and I must say I'm very impressed. The book immediately starts with action. A woman is trapped in her house; her child and husband have both been infected. The description of her child being a zombie and trying to get to her is bone chilling. She escapes and teams up with another woman and together that make a great story. Surviving in a world that is being taking over by zombies, struggling to stay alive. Action packed female power! If you enjoy a different take on a zombie apocalypse story, I highly recommend this book. Can't wait to start reading the second novel.

just plain wonderful

This responce is short and sweet....this girl can write. Buy the trilogy if it is available because withrawls will set in at the end of each book. I read this series a year ago and enjoyed it very much.

The best damn zombie novel ever!!!

It finally happened, the online sensation from a couple of years ago has reached book form. I read this story in its online serialized form, and even then, I thought it was ready for publication. But if you read it then, don't worry, Ms. Frater has some surprises up her sleeve, it's still the the most amazing zombie novel you will ever read. But just calling it a zombie novel does not do it justice, it is an epic story, dealing with love, death, relationships, and redemption...and zombies of course. You will fall in love with many of the characters, and tear up when, as happens in zombie novels, some of them die. You will cheer on the characters in the fort, as they make their last stand against the zombie hordes, and you will hiss at the bad guys, as they try to take what they want for themselves. Even if you are not a fan of zombie stories, you will love this one, I had a friend of mine at work, that had never even read a horror novel, much less a zombie novel, read this story, and she was floored. She absolutely fell in love with the characters, and actually cried right there at work when her favorite one died. I don't want to spoil anything, it is best read going in cold, so that you can discover the wonder and excitement of this book for yourself. Do yourself a favor, order it today, you will be glad you did, and you will be on pins and needles waiting for the second installment in the trilogy.
