Finally

Finally a book on health and fitness that makes sense has been published. As a person who has struggled with overweight since childhood, I am rejoicing in a resource that not only makes sense but one that deals with the issue right where I live. At 54 years of age, I have probably lost and gained hundreds of pounds in my lifetime. As a fat teen and young adult I followed every diet that came along ... fad and legitimate ... always to the ultimate end of failure and discouragement. After years of one new diet or exercise regiem after another, I finally reconciled myself to the idea that I was pretty much going to be overweight for life. Finding THE FINAL MAKEOVER by Dino Nowak, changed all of that for me. For the first time in my life I am following a program that a real person can follow and actually see results. Dino makes no claims in his book that cannot be proven out by simply following them and applying. There are no "silver bullets" in this program. It is simply one of commitment to discipline and hard work. Following the program outlined in FINAL MAKEOVER probably won't turn me into a magazine cover model. After following Dino's program for two months now I can say that I feel healthier and more energized than I have ever felt in my life. I am rarely if ever hungry. Following his simple instructions I simply eat when I am hungry, and do so in quantities that are appropriate to my fitness goals. My blood pressure has lowered sufficiently so that my physician has reduced my HBP meds for the first time in 10 years. I have lost 20 pounds and have lost two pants sizes. I am seeing fat being replaced by solid muscle mass. In short, every day is bringing changes that encourage and inspire me to look toward a better day of fitness tomorrow. Finally as a Christian, I am thrilled to have found someone who makes fitness a process through which the God I love is proclaimed and glorified. It's not ALL about me, but the better I am for me, the greater I can function for Him! Fortunately God has blessed me with better health than I deserve, and certainly better than I have earned. Finding a Christian fitness professional who FIRST gives God all the glory and then shows me honestly how I can make my physical body the tool that God designed it to be, thrills my heart and motivates me to be my best. If in the process I can feel and look better than I ever have in my life, SO MUCH THE BETTER!!!!! And as I joked with by best friend, "Maybe I'll never have a six-pack. BUT, maybe I will! Wouldn't that be a hoot!" Kudos and thanks eternally to Dino for what he has done!

"The Final Makeover" is the absolute best diet/health book I have read. Like most everyone, I have read a lot of books on the subject and been on many diets. This is the first book I completely read through in four days. Not only is it easy to read but it is entertaining and full of wisdom. No other book has struck a cord in my heart like "The Final Makeover." This book is a must read for everyone who has struggled with their image and battles the feelings of trying to "look like someone else." Dino not only gives you a plan for life but the hope that you can actually acomplish your goals and stick with it. There is a perfect balance of information that speaks to your intelect as well as your heart. If you absolutely desire to be free from the bondage of diets and societies image of physical perfection than this is the only book you need to read. Once you have read this book, there will be no turning back because it truly is "The Final Makeover."

A Makeover That Really is Final

This incredible book sheds light on those quick-fix methods that don't produce results over the long term. I've tried various plans over the years, and I can tell you that Dino Nowak's "The Final Makeover" is just that...the final makeover. Look no further. It is a fabulous book that every single person who cares about looking and feeling better should read and follow. I have been physically active and exercised my entire life, and NOTHING has ever been as satisfying and productive as "The Final Makeover".

Way To GO---DINO!!!

I personally think Dino's book is awesome! He has taken alot of what I would consider to be the guess work of fitness and made it simple. Through his apparent reasearch, he has emphasized the importance of the ESP(Emotional,Spiritual,Physical) and how it all works and comes together for the SUCCESS of your makeover. In dealing with today's society of what fit is- his book provides you with the true and false of that so called perfect image. Surprisingly, it's not all about being thin, but HEALTHY!! The book is equipped with every thing needed to get you on the path to fitness success by providing you awareness of how your body works, appropriate serving size for foods, fitness journals and exercises- and guess what! It won't cost you an arm and a leg to do it. This is a must have book! It's gives hope, encouragement and a realistic approach to becoming fit without the misleadings.

Finally

I chose this book based on the description that it contains "more than 100 exercises that can be done at home without gym equipment." The book contains that and so much more. Dino has created a very simple eating and exercise program, that is designed to help you succeed and not fail. It is based on the idea the physical fitness can't be obtained without emotional and spiritual fitness (ESP Fitness) at the same time. His program breaks down, in simple language: the myths behind fad diets, how to develop good eating habits without constantly counting calories, how to find the right motivation to become healthy, and an exercise program that is easy to follow - yet challenging. In the back of the book are very well designed journal pages to use to track your progress. I like this book because it is not trying to sell something else (no special equipment, no special pills, no shakes). If you are looking for a simple, well researched, program to help you with healthy eating and exercise, then I highly recommend this book.
