The Exiler: A Short Story (A Madison Meyer Mystery)

By Shannon Reber

Four years before Madison Meyer started her work as a paranormal investigator, seventeen-year-old Spencer Ezra had his own story to tell. His story began when he was eight years old and was adopted by the Ezra family. That was what he always believed to be the beginning of his tale. He had no idea who he truly was. He had no idea that he had been hidden in Pittsburgh.Spencer's life hadn't been an easy one. It was full of pain, grief, disappointments, and the ever-present knowledge that there was something very different about him. He knew better than to show people the truth of his powers. He didn't even know the full extent of his gifts. He was about to find out. There was a monster with the ability to take the souls of its victims. That time, Spencer was on his own. He had no idea where the wraith would strike next . . . or whose soul was at risk because of it.
