In 2017 after three years of studying, celebrating Kwanzaa and building with PLM (Pan-Afrikan Liberation Movement), I decided that it was time for a change; a name change. I felt I was no longer Boop, Dionna, D or any other nickname or name that was placed upon me. I wanted to define myself, I wanted to name myself, and Nia Kamau was born. The Evolution of Nia is my transformation, journey, testimony of perseverance over the last 6 years of ReAfrikanization.
