"The End" is a true story told in two parts: Part one is told in reverse chronological order (hence the title) and is about the time I graduated college in Virginia and walked to Portland, Maine in honor of my friend and classmate, who drowned the previous year. Part two is in chronological order, about the time I did a cross-country motorcycle trip to Los Angeles in my late 20s, partially because of my frustration at not being able to find the right way to tell part one.
